I am not going to be posting about every single game or every single bit of information that comes out of E3, I mainly going to be posting about the games I'm looking forward to and maybe some other stuff If I feel like it's worth mentioning or it captures my interest.
I am going to be posting my opinion of this stuff, so some of it may be lengthy. Just bare with me or you can just watch the footage I post and move on.
Resident Evil 6

The first footage I am posting comes from RE6. I have been a fan of this series since forever, I am a person who likes both the more survival horror age of RE and the action oriented RE games that have come up for years now, with the installation of RE6 you can very well tell that the action is most definitely staying.
I am a huge fan of 4, but I have to say that I wasn't as big on 5 since I think it had it's fair share of issues, especially if you did not play with another individual. This post isn't about that though. The footage I am posting of RE6 contains solely of Leon Kennedy,
Following the formula of recent entries of the series, there is a lot of over the top action going on in this trailer. Explosions left and right, constant panic, loads of zombies, new settings. 5 looked really good in the graphics department and this one looks even better.
One of the newer entries of the series is actually being able to move while shooting, I am probably one of the very few people who never had an issue with that kind of style of play, but it doesn't really bother me that it has been implemented into the series now. Since this series is clearly headed in a more action oriented style, this will only be beneficial. In the footage you can see it's not just moving and shooting, but there are cover mechanics, rolling around on the ground while shooting, dual wielding, etc.
I am sure there is much more to come and so far I dig what I see. If RE6 is just everything that 5 was, but fixed and expanded. I will be completely happy with it.
Tomb Raider

I haven't played a Tomb Raider game for years and by years I mean since the installments on the ps1. This game looks absolutely gorgeous. There is just a lot of pretty stuff to look at, everything outside of Lara. It doesn't look like this game is going to be treating her well at all.
From the footage you can see that there is a cover mechanic, which isn't really surprising considering most games of this gen will have that. Though there is a lot of destructive environments, so it doesn't look like you'll be able to sit behind one piece of cover and finish a section. Looks like you will have to be maneuvering a lot around the environment and actually using it as well to take out enemies. Which is one of the things I really enjoyed, though I hope there is a lot more room to be creative and it isn't always completely obvious as it was in the sections in the trailer.
I also like the sense that you're not walking into these places gun blazing, it looks like what you have is just your bow and the arsenal you get is based of what the enemies have. So it seems like this emphasizes on the use of the environment to take out enemies and being clever on how you go about it.
The trailer gets pretty intense from there, being slammed down a river where debris is everywhere and seems like it could take you out if your not paying attention. Same goes for the Parachute section shown as well, just a lot of intense stuff and Lara getting beaten like a rag doll.
I am liking the look of this, the series hasn't been shining in the recent years. This definitely looks like it's amping up to bring interest back into the series.
